Upon arrival, 3A resettable fuse was tripped, and breaker to furnace was turned off. Upon turning the breaker on and resetting the fuse, the furnace came on in heating mode from thermostat. During operation, measured transformer 24v Amp draw @ 0.9A. When humidifier was turned on, max Amp draw of 0.98A. After furnace ran for approximately 5 minutes, transformer 24v Amp draw shot up to ~8A, and the resettable fuse tripped. Fuse popped with no added calls for humidifier, fan, or second stage. To test for thermostat failure, removed thermostat and used jumper on W and R Aires at thermostat. After approximately 5 minutes, transformer Amp draw shot to 8a again, and caused jumper wire to melt. Tested furnace control board directly by jumping R and W terminal on control board. System ran for approximately 15-20 minutes with no issues. Found splice in thermostat wire using spade connectors which have a tendency to create poor connections with solid wire. Tested wire from splice back to furnace
Upon arrival today homeowner says system is mostly back to normal but still wants things checked out. Initial test run turned on the heat pump and produced 109° with 35 temperature rise from 74. Auxiliary heat test mode engaged all three heat strips at one time however there was no actual amp draw on any of the three. The far Left heat strip turned on at 19 amps when the resettable thermal limit was depressed. The middle and the right hand side were not tripped. Deeper diagnosis on the auxiliary heat strip package shows the far right side has a broken electrical element that is non-reparable. And the middle heat strip has a good element but a failed spst relay. The heat pump system turned on and ran correctly on multiple retries. The water flow appears to be very quiet and homeowner says the water is much louder in the summertime in cooling mode but everything appears to be working normal at this visit. The thermostat is very old and could be a potential culprit not turning on the

RTU 2 was locked out on a pressure switch code. Cleared rust from the port. System heating normally now. Performed heating maintenance on both units. Replaced all 8 filters. Belt on RTU1 still good, left new one inside the blower compartment as a spare. RTU2 heat exchanger is rusting out, need to replace it before holes open up. This is also the same unit that's been leaking refrigerant for over 4 years. Built a quote for repairs. Parts are backordered without an ETA. It may be best to replace this unit considering the number of issues with it and how difficult it is to get parts from Lennox.

Upon arrival, thermostat was off, and system was not operating. At the furnace, jumpered the w1 and r terminals to test heating. Inducer motor and ignitor came on properly. Heard the relay at the control board click on for the gas valve, but gas valve did not open and there was no ignition. Inspected gas valve plug and tested for proper 24v power when attempting to open. During fireoff, there was 27v going to gas valve for power. Plugged power wires back into gas valve and attempt another fireoff. Inducer motor and ignitor came on as they should, and this time the gas valve opened when a call for gas valve to open was present. The gas was properly ignited and the furnace began to heat. If no heat condition returns, recommend replacing gas valve or possibly a furnace replacement depending on gas valve replacement cost. System is 24 years old and other components could fail at anytime.

Great service, clean, and courteous. Very friendly. This was an annual check and a piece was broken. They had it on the truck and repaired it that day. Highly recommend.
Seth did a great job. He was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed our issue.
Great quick service, and did more than I even expected
This is my second house that I am using Westin air for servicing, and not just annual HVAC inspections and cleaning. My first house only had one air vent in a large furnished basement. It caused problems. They added more circulation without touching the cosmetics. My 2nd house needs more circulation in the basement due to moisture in the summer. There air no water leaks in the walls to fix. Just stale, moist air forcing me to run the dehumidifier. Their pricing is reasonable for the work and the cost savings from the electric bill is worth it.
All went well and to our satisfaction
The technicians quickly diagnosed the problem and fix our unit
Always helpful
Westin still has a 5 star rating with me, though the fact that Westin canceled out original appointment and was late on the rescheduled appointment puts that opinion in jepordy.
I'm very satisfied with Weston air. I complement their sales person who came to out home and the office person for her attention. The installation crew was excellent.
Thanks for sending Seth.
Timely service, good inspection and advise
I am very pleased with our service from Westin Air. They are very accommodating to crazy schedules as well.
Awesome
Westin Air is one of the most easy to deal with service company I have dealt with in a long time. From the front office staff to the service team everyone is friendly and professional and are very responsive to any question or concern I have had. They stand behind the products they represent and are very easy to deal with. I had a new HVAC system installed about a year ago and have had multiple issues within this time period. Seth my service tech came out and spent numerous hours diagnosing and eventually fixing the problem so I can defiantly say they stand behind the products.
Seth arrived within the window and performed annual maintenance on two furnace units. He was courteous while in the home, performed his work timely and made sure to point out items that needed my attention. I have used Westin a number of times over the past year for various properties and have always felt they provided a good service that is reliable and honest. I would recommend Westin to anyone looking for service on their heating/air systems.
